Things to do in Memphis
Central BBQ
If you like wet BBQ, then this is your spot. They have award winning pork and the best BBQ nachos you'll ever eat. You can also get local brews and mac'n'cheese to die for.
Gus's Fried Chicken
If you are on the search for finger-lickin' Memphis fried chicken, don't go any further than Front Street. It's fried to perfection and the most amazing sides. What more could you ask for?
Rendevous
The Rendevous is an establishment in Memphis. It has an awesome enviroment, the best sausage plate in town, and dry rub, if you're into that kind of thing. We won't judge.
Brother Juniper's
Wake up early and get a plate of Memphis best breakfast. You'll love everything on their menu. But don't sleep in. You'll want to get there early to avoid the block-long line.
Wiseacre Brewery
This is the best brewery in Memphis with an incredible patio and tours on Saturdays. If you are really lucky, you could catch the Central BBQ truck and kill two birds with one stone.
Beale Street
If you've been to Memphis before, you can skip this trip. If you're a first timer though, you'll want to hit up Beale Street. Get a Big Ass Beer, listen to some music, and stop in to Silky's for a paint bucket.
Memphis Zoo
Memphis has one of the best zoos in the world. There's lions, tigers, and bears and... well everything else. If you're looking for a family outing or trying to kill a few hours, the Memphis Zoo will not disappoint.
Stax Museum
If you like old school rock-n-roll and respect Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, and Booker T, this is the place for you. It's in a seedy part of town, but you won't regret this visit, complete with a listener experience.
Civil Rights Museum
You can learn about civil rights leaders and marches, all at the place where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot. You won't find a more meaningful activity in Memphis.
Children's Museum
If you have kids, or you feel like a kid yourself, the Children's Museum is a perfect place for an outing. You can climb up the tower or pick up a few things at the mini Kroger. Either way, you'll have a blast.
