Wedding Party
Bridesmaids
To say that Erin and I have been best friends since elementary school is an understatement. She is a part of my family, a part of my life, and someone who continues to amaze me every time I talk to her. I may not speak to Erin everyday, but our friendship is one of my longest and most treasured relationships. I'm so thankful to have her in my life and in my wedding!!
I met Karmen the first day of college. We lived on the same floor in our dorm and were instant friends. From freshman year through graduation, we stayed close friends. She's been my rock as I uprooted myself from Fayetteville and moved to Houston. Karmen is always right next to me for all my big life changes and I'm so happy that she'll be with me on my wedding day.
Katie and I haven't always been friends - in part because I always told on her when we were younger and in part because she never let me borrow her clothes. But as we've grown up, we have found more in common and bonded over music, movies, and similar sense of humor. You can alway rely on Katie to be the adventurous, free spirit. I couldn't imagine this day without my sister!
As I have gotten older, I've grown closer to Andi than I ever thought that I would. Andi is a great mom, wife, and sister who devotes everything to her loved ones - even if that means making a sacrifice. She is an amazing role model for me as I look to start a family and build new traditions, which is why I'm so thankful that she is one of my bridesmaids.
Courtnie is one of the best people I know. She's always around if you need a distraction or some serious advice. She's one of the best listeners I've ever known and she is always so excited for the people around her. Throughout me and Christian's relationship, Courtnie has been one of our biggest cheerleaders and supporters and we are so happy that she is in our wedding.
One of the things that I love most about Lauren is she can recite law books, bible verses, Lil Wayne lyrics, and Bull’s stats. Sometimes in the same sentence. Lauren and I are always on the same page, especially when it comes to our sense of humor and Netflix addictions. There are few people that can make me laugh as much as Lauren which is why she'll be a perfect bridesmaid.
Not only did Katherine introduce Christian and I, but she's one of our best friends. Katherine (and her husband, Alex) have been there for Christian and I since we started dating. When long distance got stressful, she was alway there with guidance and assurance that I wasn't crazy. Without Katherine, we may have never met and I'm so grateful that she is in my life!
Kayln and I have been friends since she gave me tickets to a Snoop Dogg concert, which I thought was the most generous thing anyone could ever do. We were roommates in college and have stayed close ever since. She is one of the most amazing, accomplished, intelligent women I've ever met, not to mention and amazing and truly caring friend, and I'm so happy to have her in my life!
Autumn is the whole package. She is extremely intelligent, fun, hilarious, and one of the most loving people I’ve ever met. When I told Autumn that I was dating a guy (Christian) and I thought I really liked him, her response was “I knew you could learn to love.” Since then, Autumn has stayed a close friend to both me and Christian and we're so excited to share this day with her!
Groomsmen
Jake and I go back nearly 20 years to our kindergarten class in Magnolia, AR. Through the years we have grown up together from fishing tadpoles and riding bikes around the neighborhood to owning a boat together the summer after our first year in college and trying to drive it past each other on the golf course to this day. Jake is one of the most influential people I have in my life.
Tyler is my best golfing buddy and eternal Luau Golf Tournament partner every June at the Magnolia Country Club. Tyler moved to Magnolia in high school and we became best friends very quickly playing golf what seemed like 7 days a week. Tyler is a lover of all Houston sports teams, especially the Astros, so he gets a good excuse to visit Susie and I throughout the year.
Michael is a motorcycling riding private equity professional in Dallas and we have been best friends since our time at the Porter house, where we lived for two years of college. We share a deep mutual love for Meatball, our college house cat, along with other, less important things. I can always count on Michael to bring out the fun in me and get me out of my comfort zone.
Alex is a soon to be dentist and another of the guys in the aforementioned Porter house who has been a great friend to me since college. Susie and I both stood and his and Katherine’s wedding and we of course want to have our favorite couple friends stand with us. We have already got plans in the works for a shared lake house with the Joneses when we grow up, site to be determined.
Clay is my little brother and a literal rock star graduate student of acoustics in electrical engineering in Upstate New York. Clay is passionate drummer and musician, and he has found a way to pursue that passion with his education and future career. Because of this, I am always happy to learn when we share an appreciation for certain artists like Tame Impala and Neil Young.
Chase is a lifelong friend of mine from Magnolia. A former collegiate baseball player turned golfer who has an affinity for Rickie Fowler and all of the young pros an tour, he is not afraid to bring some style to the course in his hightop golf shoes and Sunday orange. I was lucky enough to stand with Chase when he married his wonderful wife, Sarah, so couldn’t imagine my wedding without him by my side.
Quinten is a true southern gentleman and an occasional Robert Redford look alike when he has his Jeremiah Johnson style beard going. Quinten currently lives in Little Rock working as a nuclear medicine technologist. Our friendship also goes all the way back to same kindergarten class with Jake and the many adventures we have had together since then.
Ryan is another one of the Meatball loving guys I lived with in Porter, who shares a love of M83 and the Oklahoma City Thunder. As you can see in the picture of Ryan and I, we know how to get a party going. We are already planning on extending our streak of Porter weddings with Ryan on my shoulders during a Lil’ Jon song to three.
Matt is a great friend of mine who is another Porter house roommate. He and Michael currently live in Dallas and effectively serve as the post college destination for reunions. Matt is the kind of guy who is not afraid to rock his cat tank top or three wolf moon onesie while making sure nights our nights together end up in a karaoke bar singing the Dixie Chicks.
